Prasat Kravan - Angkor City, Cambodia

Central Tower  (52k)

There are five towers lined up in a row at Prasat Kravan. This early Hindu temple was built by a nobleman, Harshavarman I around the year 921.

Here are the entrances. The central and largest tower is the most important one. The main tower entrance is where Poom is standing by door guardian.

Some new foundations and some interior work were done by the French in 1968.

Vishnu Figure  (80k)

Vishnu is depicted in the form of Vamana (the fifth incarnation), a dwarf Braman with a disc, a sphere, a conch and a club.


Praying Figurines  (64k)

These little guys look like they are praying as they sit next to a large female figure on an interior wall of the main tower.
