These are quite a climb, especially in 100-degree heat!

This lion has seen many ascend this temple, built in 961 by Rajendravarman II.

This tower stands atop an artificial mountain built for
the cremation ritual for which
it is named.

These are elevated from the main level. These are well decorated and provide a good view of the surrounding area.

Getting down may prove
more difficult though.

Many of these remain intact but this one seems to be in particularly good shape.
